Help Gavin Kelly Navigate His New Life
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you know, a month ago, on August 14, Gavin Kelly was taken by ambulance from Marian Hospital to French Hospital in San Luis Obispo for blood clots in the arteries leading to his left leg, after feeling tingling and numbness. He continued to develop clots after multiple surgeries. They were unable to save his left leg. After a couple of days, his right leg and his life were in jeopardy. He was then life-flighted by helicopter to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where they cleared all the clots. They were able to save his life and his right leg. He ended up having an above-the-knee amputation on his left leg and has been able to maintain his positive spirit and mind!
With all the challenges he has faced these last 4 and a half weeks, and will be facing on his road to recovery, while learning to navigate this new way of life, Gavin is still reluctant to ask for help, but many of you have inquired about that. Sharing or donating to this page is one way we can contribute positively to this trying time.
The Kelly family would like to thank each and every one of you for reading Gavin’s story and your continued positive thoughts and prayers.
