Hello I'm Gavin's mom and I'm starting this fundraiser with the intention of opening an AbleAmerica investment account in anticipation of Gavin's upcoming medical needs. Gavin was diagnosed on March 29th 2024 with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and our world was turned literally upside down. There is currently no known cure for Duchenne and it is considered a rare genetic disorder that is considered terminal. Although we currently have insurance, as you may know this does not pay for everything. In addition Gavin also has hearing loss, so we will be working on getting him a hearing aid as well. Thank you to all of our friends and family for donating, it means so much to us, but most importantly to our light and son Gavin.
