Some of you may have stumbled upon the page from a friend, some may be here randomly.
My name is Gavin, I am a 27 year old, working a fast food job and living at my best friend's parents place in the mean time of looking for an apartment/house. I've been on the road to transition since I was about 7 years old, and could comprehend what I felt emotionally and mentally. 20 years, and my mind has always felt in my heart that I am a man. Unfortunately, biologically it does not match with how I view myself and who I AM as a person. I've been working towards achieving my ideal body. I've been on testosterone for over 8 months now, and excited for all the little changes life has given me. I'm in the works on changing my name legally to Gavin, but its taking some time right now.
My current job, as of right now, work insurance is willing to pay 80% for my chest reconstruction surgery. I need help in gathering the 20%, and some side money for expenses while I recover. My friend and I are working on moving into Seattle at some point, and this would help with moving costs, the surgery itself and groceries for while I am on medical leave.
While it's an expensive surgery, I've been thankful and blessed to have work that is understanding and a safe place.
With everything going on in the world right now, it's safe to say I would like the goal to be surgery before August at the latest. I think having my surgery late summer/early fall would be the perfect time to recover. You don't have to donate, but please do share my story!
I also stream on Twitch over @ GavChomp as well! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my story. :)
