My name is Gavin Bayliff, and I’ve been passionate about karting since I was six years old. After years of dedication and hard work, I’m proud to say I’m an American karting champion. This year, I’ve been given the incredible honor of being invited to race for the Birelart Factory team at the FiA Karting KZ2 World Championship in Franciacorta, Italy. This is a dream come true and a major stepping stone toward becoming a World Karting Champion.
I’ll likely be the only driver representing the USA at this event, making this opportunity even more meaningful. My journey has been filled with memorable moments, including winning the SKUSA Winternationals in New Caney, Texas, in the ProShifter category this past March, where I had the chance to compete against and beat some of the best drivers in the world. Now, I have the chance to compete on the world stage and possibly become only the second American world champion in karting history.
We leave for Italy on September 28th, with the Champions of the Future event taking place October 3-5, followed by the FiA World Championships from October 10-12. With such a short timeline, your support is more important than ever. The funds raised will go directly toward flights, rooming, a rental car, food, and minor operating expenses for myself, my mechanic, and my coach.
