Hi everyone, this fundraiser it’s truly special. The magnitude of love and outpouring devotion to this young man’s dream it’s truly unprecedented. Let me introduce you the reason why I am imploring you to support a young man to succeed! Meet Gavin! Gavin Garza At the age of four Gavin started playing sports in Kenner at Greenlawn Park, Louisiana. From the very moment he started playing sports he has had an immense love for it and has been very successful at every sport he has played, it has been an outlet and coping skill. He started off as a quarterback for his flag football team, which led to baseball which led to basketball. He has always, genuinely, had a passion and strong drive for every sport he has ever attempted. He's played multiple sports for parks, schools and leagues. He has even gone as far as Cooperstown, NY for baseball tournament.) He has been a baseball pitcher, a point guard for a basketball a quarterback for football and his last year of high school he was even the punter for his high school team. About 3 years ago, Gavin started playing soccer and found a whole new love of another sport. He started playing soccer a lot later than most kids do and quite honestly didn't have a clue when he first started playing. But he did everything he could to learn the sport and before we knew it, he was growing and developing with every opportunity he had. After joining a league in Slidell his skills got much better. His junior year of high school, his soccer team made it all the way through the first round of playoffs. His senior year he helped lead his high school soccer team to the South State Championship. His passion for soccer was growing stronger every year he played and his desire to learn more has been unreal. At one of his high school games someone from East Mississippi Community College came to watch him play. At the end of the game Gavin was really upset and I couldn't understand why. We couldn't understand why because he played wonderful and put his whole heart in it, like he always does. (He always has high expectations for himself no matter what he plays.) But for some reason he was still upset and he went to bed bummed that night. The very next morning he woke up to an email with an offer for a soccer scholarship at East Mississippi Community College. He was so excited, and on top of the Moon!! He achieved exactly what I knew he was capable of. He has accepted that offer and we have purchased a lot of black and red and look forward to his soccer season at East Mississippi. In the meantime, Gavin has been looking for every opportunity to try to sharpen his skills. Unfortunately it seemed like the harder he wanted to practice the less he could find people to practice with. Then, the opportunity of a lifetime landed on his lap. He has a unique and amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to get some training outside the country. Unfortunately, it comes with a cost, like most things worth having. He is now faced with the challenge to come up with the money to make this a reality. Gavin graduates from high school, this May. Much like sports he has been successful in high school as well. He has been in honors classes since elementary school. On graduation day he will be wearing honors from National Honor Society, Beta Club, Vocational Honors and a scholarship to play soccer at East Mississippi Community College. Gavin is a person with extreme drive, desire to learn, the "want" to be the best that he can be in everything he does, coachability, respect and determination. Please help make his dreams come true by helping him get the once of a lifetime training, outside the country and the life-changing experience of a lifetime. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to pursue their athletic dreams, regardless of their financial situation. That's why we work tirelessly to provide scholarships, equipment, and coaching to students who might not otherwise have access to these resources. However, we can't do it alone. It takes a community of passionate individuals like you to help us continue our mission. If you are interested in supporting our cause, we would be honored to receive a donation of any size. Every dollar truly makes a difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for your time and consideration Sincerely, Renée Garza & Tatiana Begault
