Hello, my name is Gavián. I am 17 years old and have played soccer since I could walk. After a successful experience at the first ever Uruguayan Youth National Team ID camp this past summer in California, I have been invited to Montevideo, Uruguay, in January, to go on trial for a handful of professional teams. My goal and dream is to play professional soccer at the highest level. This invite is the next step to making my dream a reality.

Why Uruguay? My mother's parents were both born and raised there. The culture has always been a part of my daily life. Uruguayan soccer is known for developing strong, intelligent, players and would be an amazing starting point for me, opening up playing opportunities around the world.

Once I am settled, I plan on investigating coaching licenses to further my understanding of the game. This also sets me up for my post-player future. My hopes are to continue in the world of soccer after my playing days are over.

My parents have always supported my sister and I in our dreams and goals. However, we have a financial challenge that lays ahead of us. In order to pursue this opportunity, I will need to pay for a living situation until I find my new club. (Apartment, food, mass-transit). My family is attempting to figure out how to operate two separate households on different continents until I get my feet under me. This is the reason for setting up this GoFundMe page.

Ask anyone in my family, friends, coaches and they will tell you I have had this goal for longer than I can remember. I have dedicated my life to making my dream a reality. I am truly excited for this next step. I would be greatly appreciative for any support you offer.
