Help Gaston Betty with His Lung Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dominique, and I am Gaston Betty’s daughter. I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my dad as he faces a life-changing challenge: a lung transplant.
As many of you know, my dad has always been a pillar of our community whether he’s decorating the town with flowers, bringing joy as Santa Claus, cheering on young athletes at the rink, or advocating for education. Even now, as he battles this life-threatening illness, he continues to lend a helping hand to others, always putting others before himself. Now, he needs our support.
To receive his transplant, my dad and my mom, Pauline, must relocate to Toronto by April 1st. The wait for a suitable donor is uncertain it could take weeks or even months. After the surgery, he will need to stay in Toronto for at least six months under close medical supervision. During this time, my mom will be his full-time caregiver, ensuring he gets the support he needs every step of the way.
This sudden and prolonged relocation comes with a significant financial burden. The cost of living in Toronto is extremely high, and while they will receive some government assistance, it will only cover a small portion of their expenses.
How You Can Help
We are asking for your support to ease this burden so my dad and mom can focus entirely on his health and recovery. Here’s how you can help:
❤️ Donate – Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference.
Share – Spreading the word about this fundraiser can help us reach more people who may want to contribute.
My dad has always shown up for others now it’s our turn to show up for him. Every bit of generosity counts, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
Thank you for your love and support!
