Hello friends and family,

 

Over the past year I've been living in New York City studying at The New School, School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. Being in New York has been one of the greatest experiences in my life. After scraping for every scholarship I could find, I still face Financial hardship. I was also denied from many student loans and I have no more options left. I currently work a part time job to cover living expenses and to put food on my table. My parents have also been helping me with my living expenses but with the addition of tuition, the affordability becomes challenging. I also play gigs whenever I have the opportunity to help provide for myself. My education and experience has been extremely fulfilling but, being one of the only Black student in all my classes. I push even harder to strive for academic excellence while trying to maintain a roof over my head. This has been stressful a time trying to figure out how to pay for college by myself and I learned I can't do this by myself. I am asking for Financial help, so I can achieve my goal of obtaining a higher education and becoming a successful black musician. Anything you could donate would be a tremendous blessing and I am forever thankful.
