Help Gary the Cat Fight Painful Stomatitis

Hi everyone,

My name is Delaney, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sweet cat, Gary. Gary isn’t just a pet—he’s family. Anyone who’s met him knows how gentle, affectionate, and quirky he is (he chirps instead of meowing and insists on sleeping on clean laundry!).

Recently, Gary was diagnosed with feline stomatitis, a painful and chronic condition that causes severe inflammation in his mouth. It’s heartbreaking to see him struggle to eat, groom, or even yawn without discomfort. Despite his brave little purrs, I can tell he’s in pain.

What is Stomatitis?

Stomatitis is an immune-mediated disease where the body attacks the tissues in the mouth. It causes ulcers, infection, and extreme oral pain. While medications have helped slightly, Gary’s vet has recommended full dental surgery, including extractions, to relieve his pain and give him a chance at a happy, healthy life.

Why We Need Help

The cost of Gary’s diagnostics, treatment, and upcoming surgery is more than I can manage on my own. Between vet visits, bloodwork, anesthesia, dental surgery, medications, and post-op care, we’re looking at $2600.
