My name is Brenda Haer. As most of you know, my family lost their home in a devastating house fire yesterday, Jan 25, around 11:30 am. My father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and nephew lived in this home at the time of the fire. Everyone was able to get out unharmed.

My father-in-law and mother-in-law (who is deceased) have occupied this rental farmhouse for 50 years. They lost everything in this fire. They have been given some clothing to hold them over by our grateful community and friends, but they are going to need places to live, furniture, and everything to start over. This was not insured by the landlord. Anyone that knows my father-in-law knows that Gary would help anyone. He coached baseball in Garrett for many years and worked at Fleetwood till the day it went under. My poor nephew didn’t get to save any of his things, and as a 14-year-old, that is devastating.
