Help Gary Gain Mobility with a New Scooter

Hi everyone, my name is Meg. I work for District Three governmental delivering meals on wheels.

One of my clients name is Gary. He worked in corrections for years and years. Gary is a super person, but since I've been delivering to his home, (a year) he's been living in the basement part of a split level ranch. The reason he's living in the basement part of the house and his wife is living upstairs basically is because he's been trapped down there because of his bad knees.

Gary had double knee replacements and has been told now he's a paraplegic because the bones in his legs have grown over the knee replacements. They can't be redone because he doesn't have enough muscle left in his legs where they put in the originals.

Gary is in a wheelchair and a hospital bed. He does get out for doctors appointments and such with a wheelchair, but I believe that he would really benefit from a scooter.

so I'm fundraising for $800 to help get Gary a scooter so that he can get out a little bit go with his wife to go grocery shopping and do other things like that.

I originally found one for $2000 but I've been offered one now for 800. So if I could come up with that, I could get Gary a scooter.
