Help Gary Flota with lifesaving surgery
Donation protected
Gary has a rare disease call Pulmonary Hypertension. He has a blood clot that has adhered to the pulmonary artery which (affects the lungs and right side of the heart) needs to be removed. Without surgery life expectancy is about 5 years, he’s on year 2 with multiple issues. Surgery is difficult! Surgeon makes incision in the sternum then he’s placed on a heart-lung machine. While on the bypass machine the body is cooled down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit then the bypass machine turned off! At that time the clots are removed from artery. Then re-warmed to regular temperature and comes off bypass machine. Recovery time in hospital 3 weeks then therapy at home over 2 months. Gary really wants this surgery!! Any help is greatly appreciate! Funds will be used for trips to/from doctors/hospital appointments, medications, medical bills, hotel stays or anything related to Gary’s journey. Gary and I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary this October. Funds will go into a joint account. Thanks!!
