This past July, Gary received news that would change his life forever at just 48yrs old. Gary was diagnosed with a highly aggressive high-grade glioma, brain cancer that has abruptly changed his way of living.
Gary was the primary source of income for the household where he lives with his mother, Rose. He is now not able to work and is struggling to make ends meet. Gary is currently very unstable and requires a walker and around the clock supervision 24/7. He has lost about 40% of his vision and mobility/coordination and can barely use the left side of his body.
Medical bills are quickly becoming overbearing as well; the hospitalization and diagnosis was only the beginning as he now has a long road of radiation and chemotherapy treatment to attempt to regain any quality of life. Gary has to endure 30 treatment sessions over a 6 week period.
Gary loves to build and drive hot rods and offroad vehicles. He built his Jeep over a few years and had only just finished in May. Gary was able to take it out with his family to a Jeep event one time before his life was flipped upside down.
A machinist by trade, he is a very smart guy and an even better friend. Gary would go out of his way for anyone in need and would give the shirt off his back just to help. He is always there for you when you need him, so I'm hoping we can now be there for him. Any help is appreciated and all prayers are welcome.
