Meet Garth- A 4-year-old orange cat, professional snacker, part-time drama king, and full-time co-star to his adopted big brother, Wayne (yes… that Wayne. Party time. Excellent.)
Recently, his humans hosted a weekend event, and while the guests were having fun, Garth was having an anxiety spiral that could only be described as “classic orange cat meltdown.” He coped in the most on-brand way possible: by grooming himself until he created his own internal catastrophe.
At first, his family assumed he’d gotten into the guests’ food (a reasonable guess for a cat who chirps for snacks like a feathered alarm clock), but no… the culprit behind his intestinal blockage was his own fur. Nothing says “I’m stressed” like literally ingesting your feelings.
After emergency surgery to fix the blockage, Garth is now recovering. But his medical bills? Over $10,000. And sadly, the vet does not accept payment in purrs, biscuit-making, or Wayne’s righteous guitar solos.
We’re asking for help. From cat lovers, orange cat aficionados, chaotic neutral pet owners, and anyone who’s ever panicked at the sight of houseguests.
Anything helps, big or small. Thank you for helping Garth!
