I'm in a difficult situation, and desperately need 800 to 1000 a month until I can find another job. Asking for help is not easy for me. All my life, I have helped others. This is hard! Really hard! I remarried in 2019 after losing my first wife in 2010. My 2nd wife was from the Philippines and not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid until she had been in the United States for 5 years. While we were working through all of that, she was struck down December 4, 2020 with no insurance. I pretty well exhausted my life savings over the next eleven months taking care of her until she died November 1, 2021. During that time I also increased my debt just trying to get through a difficult time.

Ever since then, I have worked hard to pay off my bills. That got much harder when I lost my job at the Sikeston Walmart after 8 ½ years of dedicated employment. I am 82 years old and in good health. I REALLY WANT TO WORK AND NOT BE DEPENDENT ON OTHERS! After 8 months of looking for another job, my back is against the wall. Unemployment has run out, and I just can't meet all my obligations any more. Relocation is not an option. I am sure my age has made prospective employers cautious. If anyone knows of work that I could do in the Sikeston, Missouri area. This GoFund Me request will not be necessary. Until I can find work, my situation has become desperate. I have a strong faith. I have prayed and prayed. This morning is just so hard for me to reach out to others.

I'm one of those citizens who makes just enough to not be eligible for any kind of government assistance, but not enough to live and pay my bills. Most of my family have gone on to their eternal rewards, so here I am. Savings exhausted. Unempolyment exhausted. Not eligible for government assistance programs. Desperately looking for another job that would provide an extra $1000 a month.

Until then, $800 to $1000 will be life changing. Anything more will be gratefully applied to my debt until I am working again. Words cannot express my gratitude for any help I receive.
