Help Garry Garcia Overcome Health Challenges

- Hello there, my name is Mary Tennant. I am married to Garry Garcia. In 2023, Garry had an open-heart surgery and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. Since then, Garry has had pneumonia 6 times. On my birthday last month, Garry made me pizzas, said he felt sick, and went to bed early. At 11:30 pm, he vomited and aspirated his vomit. It took the ambulance 25 minutes to get to our house. As they pulled up, he vomited again and aspirated a second time. On their way to the hospital, they had to intubate him because he couldn't breathe. When I got to the hospital, the doctor told me that he probably wouldn't make it through the night. He was sedated so he wouldn't wake up and pull all his lines. He was intubated for 8 days. On the 7th day, he finally opened his eyes. They transferred him to Albuquerque, which is 100 miles away from where we live. I have stayed in a hotel for 2 days and an Air B&B for 5 days. I had to come home to go to my own doctor's appointment. I have to take care of myself.
- And on top of it all, it is the International Balloon Fiesta right now. This makes all lodging 3 times the cost that they normally are. So now I cannot get a room anywhere.
- Getting down to it, I need help with gas, food, and medical bills for when Garry gets out of the hospital. At this time, we do not know when he will get out. The doctors want him to go to a skilled nursing facility, but Garry has already said he won't go. We both are disabled and live on fixed incomes, so this just threw a monkey wrench into our lives. Please, any little amount will help.
