For over 40 years, I have lived my passion as a fine artist, and for the last two decades, I’ve had the immense privilege of teaching the beautiful, unpredictable medium of watercolor. Many of you have followed my journey, collected my paintings of Hawaii’s stunning reef animals and tropical flora, or sat in my classes. You have filled our hearts, and you are a part of our story.
Now, my wife Cynthia and I are about to take the biggest step into our next exciting chapter of our lives. As we get older, we realized that the rising costs of living in Paradise would eventually be more than we could manage. Rather than standard retirement, we’ve decided to write a bold, new chapter. We are selling practically everything we own, embracing a traveling artist lifestyle, and embarking on a long-term international travel adventure. We are setting up a home base in Thailand and traveling wherever inspiration strikes—from the beaches of Bali to the mountains of Vietnam.
We are not facing a hardship or a medical crisis, and we are incredibly grateful for that. But as we liquidate our lives to fund this dream entirely on our own, we realize that stepping into the unknown takes a village.
