Garry has had a year of really bad luck and could use our help to get back on his feet and help fight his cancer.
He has been diagnosed with both prostate cancer and eye cancer. He has been undergoing the treatment for his eye cancer for over a year and the treatment for his prostate cancer begins this week. The prostate cancer treatment will start with radiation then followed by chemo. These are both really rough treatments to go through on your own with no support or help.
Besides doing it solo, it is especially hard at this point since he is living in Verdi in his RV and his car was hit on icy roads earlier this winter and its $4000 to get it back on the road.
Garry has been teaching skiing for over 50 years and he won the Fiore award in 2015. This award is for those who have been an unsung hero in the industry and selflessly helped others achieve their ski industry goals. He is currently the Adult Ski and Snowboard Supervisor at Homewood.
Any help, monetary, moral, or logistical (driving to DR appointments, grocery shopping, meals, pharmacy trips), are greatly appreciated. It would be great if we could help give back since he has always given so much to others.
Please feel free to reach out if you can help or have questions.
Thank you,
Jerry and Sigrid Anderson
