Hi, My name is Garry Figueroa and I'm attending the 2025 National Veterans Golden Age Games in Memphis, Tennessee from June 1-7. I'm a part of the NM Rollin' Chili Peppers Team and will be traveling with the team.

The National Veteran Golden Age Games offers sports and recreational competitie events designed to improve the quality of life for all older veterans, aged 55 years and over. The Games serves as a showcase for the rehabilitation value that wellness and fitness provide in the lives of older veterans. Veterans have the opportunity to compete for medals in air rifles, air pistols, badminton, basketball, boccia, bowling, disc golf, field events, golf, horsehoes, power walking, table tennis, pickle ball, 8-ball, shuffleboard, track and swimming. I'll be competing in air rifles, pickleball, table tennis, 8-ball, and the 800m run. I've been training year round in order to participate in these competitions. Much more, I'm able to meet others over the age of 55, create connections, and allow me to learn about different ways I can create and maintain an active lifestyle. The National Veteran Golden Age Games is a qualifying event for the National Senior Games.

As a veteran attending this event I am responsible for all of the cost of traveling to and from the event and hotel costs. I may also be resposible for transporting my own adaptive equipment to the event such as air rifles, achery bows, or sports wheelchairs. Everything donated will soley for items mentioned above.
