Update: I wanted to thank everyone that has helped Garrett and Nicole. Their electric is back on and they are doing ok. There is still a long way to go as they still have received no government assistance such as SNAP or disability. I'm hoping that the assistance that they are receiving thru this avenue and others will help them keep going until that does come through and maybe Garrett can get some new job training. My son Garrett has always faced life with courage, but this past month has brought unimaginable challenges. Garrett has type one diabetes, and at the beginning of December, he lost his leg due to complications from his condition. This sudden loss has turned his world upside down. He’s lost his job as a CNA, with it, the ability to provide for himself and his wife. Garrett has applied for disability, SNAP, and cash assistance, but so far, nothing has come through. Now, their electricity has been cut off, and his family has helped as much as they can. Garrett and his wife are in dire straits, struggling to keep hope alive as they face each day.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward getting Garrett’s electricity turned back on and helping with rent and food. These essentials are critical while he waits for assistance to come through. We aren’t asking for a lot—just enough to get bills paid and help Garrett and his wife through this difficult time. Any support, no matter how small, will make a real difference and is deeply appreciated.
