Help Garrett Compete in Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics

My name is Garrett Scott, and I am thrilled to announce that I have earned a spot on the Judo team for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, taking place in November 2025! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent our country and to share my love for judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and grappling with the world.

Why I Need Your Support:

In addition to the cost of the trip to Tokyo; I need to attend a training clinic out of the state. This clinic is hosted by USA Martial Arts of the Deaf (https://www.instagram.com/usa.madeaf?igsh=cThzNTZnMnJvcjh5 ) and that is where all members of our Judo team from all over the USA to train and improve together. Also, I am a member of the Evolucao Thai Keller MMA and Lovato Jiu Jitsu Gym in Keller, TX, (https://evolucaothaikeller.com/ ) where I train weekly to hone my first degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and my Muay Thai skills. I am planning to search locally for Olympic level judo training to enhance my judo level. I have a green belt but am working toward promoting to a brown belt. I am thinking about joining Chandler Judo Academy because my other gym does not provide Judo training . Unfortunately, the costs for these clinics, membership fees, and the whole trip to Tokyo all significantly add up.

Here’s what your support will cover:

• Flight Costs: Traveling to judo clinics and to Tokyo for the Deaflympics.

• Boarding and Food: Accommodation and meals during clinics and in Tokyo.

• Monthly Membership Fees: Covering the cost of my membership for Olympic Judo training at Chandler Judo Academy

• Additional Expenses: Any other expenses related to my participation in the Deaflympics, including transportation within Tokyo and necessary gear.
