Hello friends! It's that time again! Garfield needs his yearly check-up! Since he is a senior, diabetic cat with asthma, there's lots of stuff that will need to be done. I'm hoping it won't reach $750, but better to be safe than sorry!

He'll need a complete exam, senior bloodwork including an SDMA test to check his kidney function and then possibly x-rays to check to see how his lungs are doing due to almost losing him last year.

His appointment is at the end of the month so I don't have a lot of time (I may have to reschedule it too because I think I'm already scheduled for several tests on myself at the hospital on the same day)

Garfield absolutely HATES the ride up there and it's almost an hour. He pees, poops and pukes all over himself and the last time he went, by the time we got there, he was a real mess. The techs tried to wipe him down a little, but with his long, thick hair, it didn't help much. (during the ride home he smelled so bad I had to keep the windows down!).

I have some gabapentin this time though so I'm hoping that will chill him out enough that he'll sleep through the entire ride. (a person can hope, right?....LOL)

Anyway, as usual, I am SO very grateful to my friends who have helped me out before and will greatly appreciate any help I can get now. When you live on SSI, there's just no way to come up with this kind of money (unless I stiff the electric company and the phone/internet...lol) so every dollar is very much appreciated and will go to Garfield's care.
