Support for Ganesha's sister's family

Hello all, I create this fundraiser with a heavy and humble heart. My oldest niece and brother-in-law were unjustly detained by ICE Tuesday evening. My niece was heading off to her college orientation to begin her freshman year. My brother-in-law (her father) was accompanying her to make sure she arrived safely.

This family has a pending case with USCIS and they have not broken the law. They were carrying up-to-date legal documentation with them, as they always do out of precaution. Even so, ICE agents refused to see their documentation and arrested them and sent them to different detention centers, leaving my family shocked, separated, and desperately trying to figure out what to do next.

The funds raised will help pay for Immigration attorney fees, legal support to seek their release from detention/possibly appearance in Immigration Court, and help my sister and her family through this overwhelming process. My mom and I are doing everything possible to support them, but legal help is urgently needed and comes at a significant cost.
