Hi everyone! My name is Emma Hinson, and I am a fourth-year student at UVA. My home away from home for the past four years has been Gallastar Farms. Gallastar is an animal sanctuary for over 200 animals. Ron and Lorelei, the owners, personally take care of all of them. Currently, there is a dairy cow in desperate need of our help. She has a bad hip and is no longer producing milk, so her owners can no longer afford to keep her. Gallastar is the only sanctuary in the area that has room for her, but we need help financially. Cows are expensive to feed, and adding on her medical needs makes her even more costly to keep. We want to save this cow so badly, but we need help. The money that we raise will allow us to ease her pain and manage her health, and also keep her fed and safe for the rest of her life. Any funds we raise above our goal will be allocated towards veterinary visits for other animals. We so appreciate the help! Let's bring this baby home.
