Title: Help Galina survive the darkest chapter of her life.
I'm raising funds for Galina (64y.o.), a wonderful woman whose life has been turned upside down by the war. Her home was tragically destroyed, she has lost everything she owned, and now she is critically ill, suffering from breast cancer.
Galina and her family had a small plant business and worked really hard to have their own home. Finally, they built a big, beautiful house from scratch. Galina had been growing a wonderful garden near the house for over 20 years, which was truly a piece of heaven on Earth admired by everyone who saw it. Being incredibly talented and creative, she was able to make everything around her beautiful, both inside and outside the house.
She has always been the kindest, most generous, and humble person, always showing so much love and care to others. Whoever came to her house never left empty-handed. She would give them whatever they wanted or liked, whether it was a plant, a seedling, a toy handmade by her, etc. She loved to share.
But then war came to her house, and she and her husband were forced to flee their home in Bakhmut (Ukraine) and are currently displaced within the country. Galina didn't want to leave her house until the last moment. It is hard to imagine the pain and trauma she has been going through since it was all her creation, her world where she was able to find peace and joy. She was hoping to leave it to her little granddaughter, who was feeling so happy in her grandparents' house before the war had started. Now the whole city has been turned into ruins.
Galina and her family have absolutely nothing left. Not only have they lost their home along with everything inside and their garden, but also all sources of income.
As if it all wasn't enough, she's got a malignant breast tumor which has significantly grown over the last year due to extreme chronic stress she's been going through.
The stage is advanced; she has an open wound on her breast. She is currently undergoing the first round of chemotherapy and will have to continue to go through a long process of treatment, including surgery.
Despite all, she's still trying to stay positive, doing her best to encourage and uplift her family so that they don't get discouraged. She continues to care more about others than about herself.
We reach out for your compassion to give Galina a chance to survive and find a way to continue living in this moment of despair.
The funds will cover the costs of Galina's treatment (including chemotherapy, surgery, medications) as her health is our main focus. We also want to help her family get back on their feet since they are facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
No donation is too small; every bit will make a difference. If you're unable to donate, please share this story with your community.
Thank you for your kindness and support in advance.
