Help Gage & the Lavoie Family After a Devastating Accident

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Thank you for taking a moment to read this urgent and heartfelt plea for help on behalf of our dear family friends, Lori, Paris & Nyla Lavoie. They are living through every family's worst nightmare — a tragedy no one should ever have to endure.

This past Saturday afternoon, their sweet 13-year-old son, Gage, was enjoying the first days of summer when an unimaginable accident occurred. While riding his bike, Gage was struck by a car and suffered catastrophic injuries. He was airlifted to Boston Children’s Hospital, where doctors discovered 24 broken bones, as well as bleeding in his brain and abdomen.

Thanks to the extraordinary medical team at Children's, Gage was stabilized — but he remains intubated, sedated, and unable to breathe on his own. The road ahead will be long, uncertain, and incredibly difficult. His doctors have shared that he will likely be hospitalized for many months.

Gage is a kind-hearted, gentle, and brave young boy with a fierce fighting spirit. His strength is remarkable — but he and his family need all of us now more than ever.

Lori, Nyla & Paris have not left his side. They are facing the crushing weight of emotional, physical, and financial stress. As they devote every moment to supporting Gage’s recovery, they are also dealing with lost income, unforeseen medical expenses, and the overwhelming logistics that come with a long-term stay in Boston.
