Help Gage heal:ARDS & Septic Shock Survivor

Donation protected
My name is Michelle and I'm wanting to do something to help ease some of the burden for Stacy, Gary & Gage Monden. I've known Stacy & the boys 13 years.  Stacy is not someone to ask for help , even when she could really use it, and she's the type that would give you the shirt off her back if  you needed it. She has helped me years ago when I was going through some hard times myself. It breaks my heart for her and the boys because these medical problems never seem to end.   Gage went into the hospital November 14th with a UTI and only 100.4 fever . Later that evening, he went into septic shock . His kidneys, liver & lungs took a big hit from the shock and 2 days letter he developed ARDS ( respiratory failure) and multi-organ failure.and had to be put on the ventilator. They did find that he had a blood clot, so he had to receive treatment for that as well.  He was weaned off the ventilator after 2 weeks and seems to be doing well other than requiring the oxygen and many breathing treatments. His kidney & liver functions thankfully show improvement every day.!  He needs to get a new  tunneled central line ( double lumen groshong) , but some of his  veins seem to have stenosed . He had to get testing done to see what veins he has available and they located one they can use, so that's going to be done soon.  Stacy is a single mom caring for 2 chronically ill boys, as well as dealing with her own medical problems.  She has been by Gage's side since day one , so she's had to miss work. The bills don't stop! ( Medical, food, living expenses, wear and tear on her car, gas, etc)   the stress of dealing with this, along with her other son's medical problems ( and her own) is more than enough to worry about without adding in a the living expenses . Gage  will require PT, OT , many more Drs appointments than he already had , medical supplies that aren't covered by the insurance, she will need to be off of work to make sure he is taken care of and can get to all of these appointments.  Gage is at a point where he's not able to use the stairs due to requiring a walker and needing an oxygen tank with him 24/7 , so Stacy is having to adjust some things in the home so he can have a room downstairs. Gage has been a fighter since day 1 of his life .He was born early due to a uterine rupture, suffered a TBI , Cerebral palsy, epilepsy , tremors , bilaterally deaf, and many more medical conditions. Every day has been a fight for him, but he beats whatever has come his way . He has overcome things no one should of ever overcome , and continues to be a fighter. I could write for days about everything he has conquered!  They truly believe that prayers are the reason why.  The money will go directly to their medical account and I hope to raise them way more than I set the goal at.  Any donation is appreciated and if you're unable to donate, prayers are much appreciated too! Thank you in advance and God bless you all.
