Help Gaby Repair Her Car and Get Back on the Road

Dear friends, and kind souls,

I’m reaching out with humility and hope — my car broke down unexpectedly last week, and I don’t have the financial means to cover the full cost of the repair. It’s a 2017 used Ford Escape, and I rely on it daily for work, errands, and life in general.

Thankfully, I wasn’t left stranded on the road. I made it home just before the car stopped working completely. I had to tow it to a mechanic, and today they confirmed it needs a major repair. The issue is with a part called the flexplate, which requires removing the entire transmission to replace. It’s a labor-intensive and costly process.

I’ve set the goal to $2,200 to make sure I can fully cover the repair, towing, and any additional costs that might come up. This also helps account for platform fees and gives me peace of mind.

Being without a car has been a big challenge. I also have a consular appointment at the end of this month, and it’s more than two hours away from where I live. I truly need my car working again to take care of this and keep up with my responsibilities.

Ayúdame a reparar mi carro y volver a moverme

Queridos amigos, y personas de buen corazón:

Hoy les escribo con humildad y esperanza — la semana pasada mi carro dejó de funcionar de forma inesperada y no tengo los recursos para cubrir toda la reparación. Es un Ford Escape 2017 usado, y dependo de él para trabajar, hacer diligencias y moverme en mi día a día.

Gracias a Dios pude llegar a casa antes de que se detuviera por completo. Luego lo llevé al taller en grúa, y hoy me confirmaron que necesita una reparación importante. El daño está en una pieza llamada flexplate, y para cambiarla hay que desmontar toda la transmisión. Es un trabajo largo y costoso.

He puesto la meta en $2,200 para cubrir la reparación, la grúa y cualquier costo adicional que pueda surgir. También me ayudará a cubrir las comisiones de la plataforma y me dará un poco de tranquilidad.

Estar sin carro ha sido muy difícil. Además, a final de mes tengo una cita en el consulado que me queda a más de dos horas de donde vivo. Necesito tener mi carro funcionando para poder cumplir con esto y con mis compromisos diarios.
