Hi everyone! My name is Raegan, and I am reaching out with hopes to help my amazing friend, Gabrielle. She has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, we will know what type and stage after her biopsy.
A couple of weeks ago, Gabrielle, noticed a lump on her the left side of her neck above her clavicle bone which was about the size of a golf ball. After seeing the Doctors, Gabrielle was sent for several x-rays, scans and a biopsy will be done on Thursday 3/16.
We were hoping that it would be just a cyst, but of course it wasn’t, we received news that it was much more and the doctor was very concerned that its growing fast. She has several growths extended throughout her neck, sternum and chest, even some around her throat.
At just 23 years old, Gabrielle is now starting her cancer journey. She will need chemotherapy which will begin soon. The prognosis of this form of cancer is considered treatable and curable with some cases surviving more than 85% for 5 years or more after being diagnosed. We are hoping and praying that Gabrielle is within that 85%.
Gabrielle is a beautiful, kind, fun-loving, girl who lives life to the fullest. She is an incredible young woman with a heart of gold, she would do anything for others so lets all bind together and help her through this journey.
She will need to move back home with Mom and Dad to help with her care.
We are asking for any assistance to help with the financial burden as she has no medical insurance and she will be paying out of pocket. This can include loss of wages, medications, hospital and oncology visits/stays, tests, procedures, chemotherapy infusions, travel, and more. Every little bit helps to relieve some of the stress and is greatly appreciated.
