Help Gabrielle Johnston Save Her Home
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gabrielle Johnston. I am a 58-year-old widow navigating an incredibly difficult period of my life.
Eighteen months ago, in July 2023, I lost my job. Six months later, I lost my husband. With his passing and the loss of both our incomes, I also lost the stability and support that kept our household afloat. By April 2024, my unemployment benefits had run out, and in May 2024, all my financial resources were exhausted.
Despite my health and ongoing mental health difficulties, I’ve put all my energy into finding work and living my life without Jim. After 13 months of job searching, I was hired in August 2024 as a contractor for a staffing agency. Working and earning an income is a great relief; however, my wages are not enough to cover all my expenses and the accumulated past-due bills. I am trying my best to get back on my feet, but I’m at risk of losing my home—the one thing I have left from the life my husband and I built together.
I am reaching out for help because I simply cannot do this alone. I need $4,000 to cover my past-due mortgage, HOA fees, and car repair expenses for the next four weeks while I work to stabilize my situation. Your support would mean the world to me—it would give me the time and space I need to recover and rebuild after this devastating loss.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help me stay in my home and focus on getting back on my feet. If you’re unable to donate, I would be so grateful if you could share my story with others who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
