Hello, my name is LaToya, and this is a fundraiser I am creating for my daughter Gabrielle. She recently received a letter saying that she was nominated for the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM by her teacher from last year. This is taking place at the University of Maryland. This is a great opportunity for her and I want her to take advantage of it.

This program teaches them how leaders bring different types of people together and discover their own potential for success. They also introduce them to the world of medicine, how to program a robot, and learn about detective work and crime scene investigation to solve a case. This gives her the ability to make new friends and understand her own abilities. She will also be better prepared to become an effective leader at school and in her community.

This opportunity exposes Gabrielle to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), which is considered essential to the U.S. These fields will help produce the next generation of innovators, doctors, scientists, software developers, and engineers, so it is critical students are exposed to quality STEM education early in their academic careers.

The funds raised will be used for Gabrielle's tuition and part for my hotel stay while she is there, as she will be staying on the campus for the program. Gabrielle will appreciate any and all contributions that will help her pay tuition to enroll in this program. She is excited and I know we all can help her get there.
