Help Gabriella and Her Family

After donating blood, Gabriella was left clinging to life and permanently disabled. She underwent multiple procedures, but ultimately nothing could restore her mobility in her right arm. She developed symptoms of a severe chronic pain disorder, that has the ability to spread to other limbs and debilitate her further. She has needed help for Post Traumatic Stress, Anxiety and Depression and she now requires assistance for everyday living.

I attended leadership camp with Gabriella and am saddened by what she has gone through over the past four years after donating her blood to Canadian Blood Services. Gabriella is a true humanitarian. She has always taken care of people. She has raised funds for mentorship programs for disadvantaged kids and children in underprivileged countries so they could have a bed to sleep in at night. She has volunteered with disabled individuals and seniors. She doesn’t deserve to suffer the way she has been left to suffer after giving her blood to save lives. She had a scholarship to go off to any University in Canada but had to stay at home to be taken care of because she lost her independence helping others.

Canadian Blood Services still hasn’t mediated to help her with her life care costs so it’s been up to her family to meet all of her needs.
