Help Gabriela Fight Stage 3 Cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone my name is Luis Rivera. On January 21 2025 I received a call from my fiance Gabriela Alonso, with horrible news that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. When she told me that, it felt like the world was just pushing down on my chest, not being able to breathe, nor process anything, so you can just imagine what she is going threw as a mother, a daughter, a sister, a fiance, and a friend. I have never seen a warrior crumble like she did that day. You see it in movies, and novelas but it hits different when it hits home.
February 12 2025 she had surgery for
•Vascular Acces Port Implantation
• Pelvic Laparoscopy
This is was the longest and scariest moment we as a family indured. The kids and I were so nervous and anxious. To have a love one go threw surgery, and be put to sleep is very overwhelming. The kids and I were at the hospital for 14 hours. At 9:00pm she was out of surgery and everything went well and she had to recover. This was very overwhelming but very grateful and thankful experience we went threw. Thank you to the University of Miami (all about the U) taking care of her in every step of the way. God bless the Doctors, Nurses, and the facilities that she been going through. Not all heros wear capes but you'll definitely wore you'll capes for her
On February 20 2025 we went back to get her results from the Pelvic Laparoscopy procedure. The biopsy from her lymph nodes they took on right side 8 of 8 came back good but her lymph nodes from her left side 2 of 8 came back cancers. It also determine that she has stage 3 cervical cancer. This meant that her radiation and her chemo therapy will have to be a little bit stronger then planned
March 3 20215 was her first day of radiation plus her chemo therapy. To see the women that I love truly, love dearly with all heart go threw everything that day, broke my heart but had to be strong for her. She has to have radiation for 8 weeks and 6 weeks of chemo therapy . On Mondays she will have chemotherapy therapy but 3 out of 6 weeks her doze of chemotherapy will be double and Monday threw Friday she has to have radiation.
As you'll are aware there are no cancer facilities in key west, so this means we have to relocate close to the hospital in Miami. Having to be away from our kids in these times are very overwhelming. I'm coming to the community of conch pride can you'll help a mother of 5 and I in these hard times we are going threw. Any donations we'll greatly appreciated or by sharing this post. Please pray for her and her family for positive outcome and recovery. Thank you and God bless
