Hello. My name is Rod Farthing. I am the stepfather to Gabriel Herrera, my stepson. Gabriel is currently critically ill in the ICU at St. Lukes Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania. He has severe, pneumonia, asthma, heart failure, and is on dialysis. In the last few days, he went into cardiac arrest several times before being resuscitated. In addition to everything else, he caught COVID as well. Gabriel is a determined fighter, living for the focus of his life, son Jayden. Although very seriously ill, he is currently holding his own. This could change, and the doctors are not optimistic.

 

Gabriel has a large family and many friends who are praying daily for his recovery. Prior to the hospitalization, Gabriel lived in an apartment in Easton with his sister. Both are on disability, and because of the hospitalization circumstances, fell behind for January rent and likely February rent. It is anticipated if he recovers that a long rehabilitation is ahead, and the family wants both Gabriel and his sister to relocate to be closer to the family who can assist with their care.

 

The family is requesting any financial assistance to help catch up on the rent for Gabriel and his sister and to prepare for his relocation to Ohio when he recovers from rehabilitation. We anticipate the costs up to $8,000. Thank you for your consideration and prayers!
