Help Gabriel Walk Into His Future

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and helped share Gabriel’s fundraising! Because of your generosity, he has begun the process of getting his leg fitted and adjusted. None of this would have been possible without your incredible support and love. We are truly grateful—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We will be closing the GoFundMe at the end of next week.

Help Gabriel Walk Into His Future

At only 8 years old, Gabriel faced a battle that would have broken many grown men. A sudden pain in his leg led to a diagnosis no child should ever hear: osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. What followed were months of grueling chemotherapy, endless hospital stays, and nights where his parents prayed they wouldn’t lose him. Within just one month, Gabriel endured seven surgeries. The treatments were harsh, the side effects brutal. In the end, Gabriel emerged victorious over cancer—but it came at the ultimate cost: his right leg.

For a child, losing a leg could have meant losing his future. But Gabriel didn’t stop. He refused to let cancer steal his spirit. Through painful therapy, he learned to walk again. Through tears and setbacks, he found resilience. At a young age, Gabriel decided that his life would not be defined by what he had lost, but by how he would rise.

And rise, he has.

Today, Gabriel is 18 years old and preparing for one of the most incredible journeys of his life: a full-time volunteer mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For two years, Gabriel will dedicate his heart and soul to walking the streets—wherever he is called—spreading a message of peace, forgiveness, and unity. He will be the hands and feet of service, lifting the weary and bringing light into dark places.

But Gabriel is more than his mission. He has already become an inspiration to many. Despite his challenges, he coaches young children in jiu-jitsu, teaching them discipline and skill and life’s more profound lessons: never give up, keep fighting, and no matter what, don’t stop moving forward. Children look up to him because he embodies those very values—he lives what he teaches.

And now, Gabriel has the chance to inspire even more lives.

But here’s the obstacle: his current prosthetic no longer fits. Instead of freedom, it causes pain. Instead of strength, it leaves him relying on crutches that slip and exhaust him. Without a properly fitted prosthesis, Gabriel risks damaging his hips, shoulders, and arms—limiting his ability to serve fully and joyfully.

This is where you can step in and change the course of Gabriel’s future.

We need to raise $7,000 to cover the out-of-pocket maximum so that insurance can (hopefully) cover the remaining cost of a new prosthetic leg. This isn’t just about medical equipment—it’s about unlocking Gabriel’s full potential to serve others. With the right prosthetic, Gabriel can:

• Walk boldly into his mission, serving with strength and confidence.
• Protect his long-term health by having a fit that works for his body.
• Inspire others by living his message of courage, faith, and resilience.
• Continue blessing the lives of children he mentors, showing them that no setback is too significant to overcome.

Most of us don’t think twice about walking. For Gabriel, walking is a gift—a miracle made possible through the generosity of others. By helping Gabriel, you are not only giving him the ability to walk but also empowering him to serve, teach, and bless countless lives on his mission and beyond.

This is your chance to be part of something bigger—to partner in Gabriel’s journey, to invest in his ability to serve others, and to give him the tools he needs to keep inspiring everyone who crosses his path.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Gabriel. Thank you for believing in him. Thank you for helping him not only walk again, but walk with faith, courage, and purpose. ❤️
