My name is Gabriel, a lot of you know me as Giz! I’m raising funds for my top surgery, a life-changing step in my gender-affirming journey. Living with gender dysphoria has affected every part of my life: how I move through the world, how I show up for people, and even how I see myself. Most days, I avoid leaving the house because I feel so uncomfortable in my body and clothes. I’ve canceled plans, missed opportunities, and struggled silently for years just to feel okay existing as myself.

I’m also the main provider in my household and take care of my mom, so most of my income goes toward keeping us stable. That makes saving for surgery nearly impossible, even though it’s something I’ve needed for a long time for my mental health and well-being.

This surgery isn’t about changing who I am; it’s about finally being able to live as myself. It’s about being able to breathe, go outside, wear a t-shirt without panic, and move through the world without feeling trapped in my own body.
