Help Gabriel Attend Stanford's Law Program

Hi, my name is Gabriel Bishop. I’m a junior at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia, and I’ve always believed that no dream is too big when you have the drive to chase it.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of justice—how it works, who it serves, and how I could be a part of making it better. I remember watching courtroom dramas and being drawn to the powerful voices in those rooms. I didn’t see them as characters—I saw them as people I wanted to become: sharp, prepared, compassionate, and unafraid to speak up.
That’s when I knew I wanted to be a lawyer. Not just any lawyer—a corporate lawyer with the power to advocate for fairness and change, especially for those who don’t always get a seat at the table.
So I’ve worked hard. Really hard.
Today, I’m an honors and AP student with a 3.82 GPA. I’m a multi-sport athlete—playing basketball, golf, track, and lacrosse—and an active member of my school and community. I’ve published research, interned through Urban Alliance, and I serve as a chair member in our Cohort leadership program. I’m involved in the Math Honor Society, the One Love Club, and the Future Lawyers of America Club. I also volunteer in my free time and am currently preparing for the SAT.
Recently, I was honored to receive a personal invitation to attend the Stanford University Law and Trial Program—a 10-day summer intensive where high school students from across the country come together to study real court cases, participate in mock trials, and gain hands-on legal experience alongside some of the best minds in law.
It’s more than a program—it’s a launchpad. It’s a rare chance to walk the halls of one of the most prestigious universities in the world, to grow, to learn, and to confirm that this dream of mine isn’t just possible—it’s already taking shape.
But there’s just one challenge: the cost. With tuition, travel, and food, the total comes to $10,000. As much as my family supports me, we don’t come from wealth, and we simply can’t afford this on our own.
That’s where I hope you’ll come in.
I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for an investment. In my future. In my education. In a young man who is determined to use his voice and his work ethic to make a difference. Your donation—no matter how big or small—helps bring this dream within reach. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this page with your network can still make a huge impact.
This opportunity would not only give me a head start on my legal career, it would give me something even more powerful: a sense of urgency. A fire to keep striving, knowing that people believe in me. People like you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for believing in young people who work hard, lead with heart, and never stop dreaming.
With deep gratitude,
Gabriel Bishop
