Help Gabi Cover Medical Costs

Hello friends and loved ones,

We are coming together to support our dearest Gabi as she undergoes her second surgery and embarks on her healing journey.

This year, Gabi learned she has a mutation to her BRCA1 gene, meaning she is more prone to developing cancer. This life-altering diagnosis has required her to make some difficult decisions about her health.

For context, normally the BRCA1 gene protects us from getting certain cancers. However, some mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes prevent them from working properly. Those who inherit one of these mutations are significantly more likely to get breast, ovarian, and other cancers.

With the guidance of an excellent medical team, Gabi had a double mastectomy on Feb 8 and is going to undergo reconstructive surgery in April.

Gabi is surrounded by loved ones and community during this time, and we are coming together to support her with associated medical costs and expenses, including hospital bills, medications, post-operative care, and daily living expenses during her recovery period.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, we are asking for a contribution towards her medical costs and her recovery time away from work. Contributions of any size will make a meaningful impact and help Gabi focus on her recovery in the coming months.
