Hi, my name is Gabe, I am a 16 year old sailor and rower from Pembrokeshire. I have been sailing my whole life and began rowing when I was 11. I row with Aberporth and Carmarthen rowing clubs. I am delighted to have been selected to represent GB at the Atlantic Challenge 2024 in America. It is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for me to prove my physical and mental strength.
The Atlantic Challenge is an International seamanship competition which celebrates traditional seamanship skills like sailing, rowing and navigation. The boat we will be racing was built in Llandysul, not far from my home, which gives me a great personal connection to the boat.
I am raising funds to compete in the GB team for Atlantic Challenge. This will help me cover the costs of training camps, travel, and racing. Any donations will help me to be able to take part in this wonderful event.
