Help Gabe Continue His Fight

At just 11 years old, Gabe has already endured more than most people face in a lifetime.

Despite countless hospital stays, surgeries, and painful setbacks, he continues to face every challenge with courage, faith, and an unforgettable smile.

Gabe’s medical journey began in 2021 at Renown Children's Hospital when he started experiencing severe gastrointestinal problems. His family immediately began working closely with the pediatric GI clinic, hoping to find answers. Over the years, Gabe underwent extensive testing, tried numerous medications, and bravely faced procedure after procedure in search of relief.

In 2023, Gabe underwent his first major surgery. For a few months, things finally seemed to improve, but unfortunately, his symptoms returned. After additional testing, doctors discovered that a large portion of his colon was no longer functioning properly. In mid-2024, Gabe underwent another major surgery to remove much of his colon. His family truly believed this would finally be the turning point.

Then came another devastating setback.

In late 2024, Gabe developed a severe C. Diff infection — not once, but twice. The second infection caused catastrophic damage to his gastrointestinal system and led to emergency surgery to place an ileostomy. Gabe later gave his ileostomy the nickname “Tedwin,” embracing this life-changing adjustment with remarkable positivity and strength.

After spending 35 days in the hospital, Gabe walked out with a new outlook on life and an even stronger faith. During this difficult season, Gabe made the decision to be baptized after seeing how God was working through even the hardest moments of his journey.

Gabe has continued to endure additional surgeries and lengthy hospital stays, including a grueling 7-week stay at the beginning of 2026 to undergo another major surgery to move his ileostomy.

Through it all, Gabe remains strong, brave, and full of hope.

We are creating this fundraiser to help ease the overwhelming financial burden placed on Gabe’s family. Between ongoing medical treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, travel expenses, time away from work, and daily living costs, the challenges continue far beyond the hospital walls.
