It is with an extreme amount of humbleness that I am requesting financial assistance in this manner….my Gabey baby was hospitalized about 10 weeks ago-he went into status epileptis {continuously seizing without gaining consciousness}. The protocol for Gabey is loading doses of phenobarbital-due to being severely allergic to lorazepam & diazepam-which for an epileptic is dangerous. The ER doc’s loaded him with as much phenobarbital as medically allowed yet his seizure’s continued -his body went into respiratory arrest yet Creator witnessed his fight to stay & live-hence showed me Gabe has so much more to teach us to want to stay Makȟa side. Due to all the anticonvulsants administered his kidneys are now injured-kidney functioning is 40%. He has been referred down to UCHealth's Brooke Gordon Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in Denver Area-also he suffered a severe contraction (due to intense seizure activity) to his right ankle & has serious mobility issues yet he has a “boot” that is trying to do it’s job & straighten out his lower leg. While hospitalized at the Epilepsy center his care team will also be giving him Botulinum toxin (Botox) & Collagenase injections to help his arm & ankle contractions so he may regain some of his independence (such as dressing, walking without assistance & feeding himself).We are preparing for a minimum of 2-3 weeks hospital stay‍. I immensely appreciate any donations towards Gabe’s medical travel/stay or any prayers sent his way….after all prayers have sustained him and pulled him through for the past 27 years of his precious wonderful beautiful life, he really is our amazing super hero.I am raising 2 of my grand babies-whom are both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder-without any financial assistance from the state (SNAP/TANF) or their parents. Hence majority of income is used for their care, which is why I started the go-fund-me for Gabe’s medical journey. I immensely appreciate y’all sharing his fundraising page AND any donations.
