My son Gabe is 19 and has been fighting a rare tumor called osteoblastoma for years. He’s undergone three surgeries to remove it, but each time the tumor returned, growing back even more aggressively. On July 11th, Gabe had to undergo an amputation after all other treatments failed. He’s still in the hospital, and the emotional toll has been immense. Gabe has struggled with his mental health throughout this journey, especially after losing his limb, but he’s determined to keep moving forward.
Gabe is passionate about gaming and dreams of developing games and building a following on Twitch, TikTok, and Discord. Right now, though, our biggest challenge is simply making ends meet. I’ve had to stay home to care for Gabe, which means we’ve lost our income. We’re struggling to pay bills and the mortgage, and we urgently need help to get Gabe a wheelchair and a prosthetic so he can regain some independence. We’re also hoping to cover the costs of physical therapy, which will be crucial for his recovery.
We’ve been handling this on our own, and it’s been overwhelming. Any support would relieve so much stress and help us keep a roof over our heads, put food on the table, and give Gabe the tools he needs to rebuild his life. Your help would mean the world to us as we navigate this difficult time. Any money donated will go to getting his prosthetic, paying for medical bills, housing, bills and food.
