Help Gabe Heal and Support His Daughters

Hello, my name is Tanya the mother of Gabe. As most of you know on Sunday, October 13, 2024, Gabe my 25-year-old son was involved in a severe head-on collision on Highway 24 in Colorado.

He was pinned inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by rescue teams before being airlifted to a nearby hospital. Gabe was on his way home from work when the accident occurred.

Gabe is a native of Colorado Springs, known for his humor, generosity, and hardworking spirit. He’s a loving son, brother, nephew, and, most importantly, an amazing father to two wonderful daughters. As a self-employed provider, Gabe worked tirelessly to take care of his daughters.

Currently, he is in the critical care unit facing and fighting through multiple injuries, including:

•Brain bleed along with his brain being without oxygen and blood supply for well over 4 minutes resulting in an Anoxic Brain injury.

• Two broken legs

• Fractured spine, sternum, ribs, pelvis, shoulder blade and facial bones

• Liver lacerations, pancreas and gallbladder damage

• Removal of his spleen

• Blood clot in his heart

Gabe has undergone multiple surgeries, is receiving blood transfusions as needed. In the coming days he will have a tracheotomy along with feeding tube put in place to assist in his healing. He would have a life time of extensive care keeping him out of work. Gabe will need extensive rehabilitation.
