Help Gabe and Terri Lay Their Daughter to Rest
We are Gabe and Terri Upshaw. Our eldest daughter, Leslie Gabrielle, passed away New Year's Eve. It was a shock to us, our family, and our friends. Even now we struggle through dealing with the shock and the missing piece of our family as we process everything necessary to lay her to rest.
Leslie was born August 21st, 2002. After graduating from Century High School (Class 2020), she applied and was accepted to the University of Arizona. She immediately made preparations to move to Arizona in August. She was adventurous and wanted to travel to see other countries. She always put others before herself; a giver and a helper. Her smile never left her face and her warmness was always so welcoming.
At the advice of several people, we started this GoFundMe to reach out to anyone and everyone willing to help with miscellaneous expenses during this time. The tribe that we are a part of in Arizona is paying for a huge portion of the funeral home and burial expenses, of which we are so grateful for, but there are still several things that need to be paid for and we don't have the means to meet everything at once.
With whatever is given, we will be able to cover the following:
*Travel Expenses for Gabe, Terri, and Leslie's two younger sisters; Kylee and Amari.
* Rental Car for while in Arizona
* Transport for Leslie down to Arizona for memorial and burial services.
* Misc expenses, such as food and lodging.
The funds are needed as soon as possible, as we are looking to try and fly out of Bismarck, ND by the 7th of January. Gabe and Terri Upshaw will be in charge of all final expenses as each one arrives.
Our hearts are breaking at the loss of such an amazing young lady. A day won’t go by without her being missed by so many that loved her and knew her. We await the day when we will all be together again in heaven with our precious baby girl.
