Help Gabby Stay in Law School
Donation protected
My name is Gabrielle “Gabby” Williams, and I’m a second-year law student at the University of Mississippi School of Law. I’m sharing my story today because I need help staying enrolled.
This past year, I’ve worked hard to make it through: balancing legal internships, a campus job, and leadership roles on the Southern Region Board of the Black Law Students Association (SRBLSA). I’m committed to becoming a transactional attorney for Black creatives, athletes, and entertainers. But now, I’m facing a financial roadblock I can’t overcome alone.
Due to credit limitations, I’ve been denied access to the Grad PLUS loan, and I don’t have a creditworthy endorser. Without an endorser, I receive no federal aid at all—not even my $20,500 unsubsidized loan. This has left me with no way to fund my second year of law school, despite being in good academic standing.
What the $50,000 Covers:
• Tuition & fees
• Housing & utilities
• Groceries & transportation
• Books & required materials
• Health insurance & other student expenses
• Transaction/crowdfunding platform fees
This amount reflects the full cost of attendance that the Grad PLUS loan would have covered. I received a nonresident tuition waiver, but I still have to cover everything else on my own. I’ve tried every route—exhausted all options—and now I’m turning to my community for help.
I’m not asking for luxury or extras. I’m asking for a shot at finishing what I started.
If you can give, thank you.
If you can share this campaign, thank you.
If all you can do is send love, I’ll take that too.
