Help a black queer woman pay medical bills
Donation protected
In May I began to experience debilitating pain in my lower left side. As the pain increased, I began to worry for my safety and visited the ER on three separate occasions. On all three of those occasions the doctors told me that what I was experiencing was not life threatening (even though I could not walk or stand without severe pain) and by the last visit they refused to do any tests, wrote me a prescription for ibuprofen, and sent me home. While my pain has improved to where I can walk now it is still very painful for me to lift, twist, and bend which interferes with my job working with children with autism. Because my mobility has not been fully recovered my job terminated my full time status and I am currently unemployed, (they said I was not reliable because I do not have a medical diagnosis), however, despite that I still have an overwhelming amount of medical bills that are due. Being an unemployed Black woman without insurance is a dangerous and tight rope to walk. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
