On December 27th, my parents’ two small dogs, Gabby and Ollie, were brutally attacked by a neighbor’s dog that broke free from its leash. Gabby — my mom’s service animal — suffered broken ribs, punctured lungs, and critical injuries and is still fighting for her life in the ICU. The emotional toll on my parents has been immense, as Gabby is not only a beloved pet but also a vital source of support for my mom.

The vet bills are adding up quickly, with surgeries and intensive care needed to give both dogs a fighting chance. Every day in the ICU brings new challenges and expenses, and the total cost is expected to exceed what my parents can manage on their own.
