Hello everyone, this is Gabby from the Humans of New York story. As Brandon explained, I have fallen into a very difficult situation financially.

As many of you know, even though caretaking is one of the most important jobs in the world, we do not make a high hourly wage, and in NYC it is very easy to fall behind. I’m currently looking for work, not a handout.

It will help me catch up with debts and overdue bills because I chose to keep helping families with transitioning their loved ones to the next life. I keep my word and will never abandon any of them, regardless of whether they can pay me well or not.

I am always thinking about how I am going to pay the next bill, and things feel urgent because I am so behind. If anyone has it in their heart to spare a small amount to help me bridge through this difficult time, I will be forever grateful.
