Meet Gabby

Gabriella (Gabby) is an 18-year-old from Michigan, who had just graduated high school and was beginning her journey to adulthood. She is a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a great friend, a track and field athlete, a scuba fancier, a skiing enthusiast, a foodie, a painter/artist, and so very much more. She is vibrant, compassionate, and full of ambition. However, her life took a devastating turn when she suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in an accident. The impact left her with severe neurological and physical impairments, requiring extensive medical care and rehabilitation.

The Road Ahead

Gabby’s recovery journey is challenging and costly. She requires continuous medical treatments, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Additionally, she needs specialized equipment and home modifications to accommodate her new needs. The emotional toll on Gabby and her family is immense, as they navigate this new reality together.
