I come to you today with a heavy heart and a trembling voice, for I never thought I would have to ask for help like this. But the truth is, I am fighting for my life, and I cannot do it alone.

In October 2022, I received the devastating news that I have Melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer. It started as a small spot on my skin, but it has spread to my left breast and my thyroid, and it is growing rapidly. My doctors tell me this cancer is the fastest-growing type, and I am in a race against time.

As you can imagine, this news hit me hard. It hit me even harder when I learned that the treatment I need to save my life is not covered by insurance. It comes with a price tag of $26,000, and I simply cannot afford it on my own.

But that is not the worst part. The worst part is that I have lost loved ones to this same disease. My brother fought the same battle, and he lost. It spread to his spine and brain, and he passed away. My father also battled cancer, but he too lost his fight. And now, here I am, facing the same fate.

I refuse to give up. I refuse to let this disease take me away from my beautiful children and grandchildren. I want to be here for them, to watch them grow and thrive, to share in their joys and sorrows. I want to live.
